Meet the Team

We are happy to introduce a few of our 2019 team members:

Lindsay Zombiefied

Lindsay Kopp – Producer/Instructor

Lindsay Kopp is an Eastern Idaho native.  While in Pocatello, Lindsay took a few ballroom dance classes and grew a deep appreciation for dancing.  She recently moved to Boise six years ago and, while slightly missing it, was introduced to the Thrill the World flash mob scene.  This will be Lindsay’s 5th year dancing with Thrill the World Boise and 4th time instructing.  She looks forward to meeting everyone this year and spreading the word about such a great event.

Jade Maldonado – Instructor

Jade A. Maldonado was born and raised in Boise, Idaho.   Jade studied ballet, hip-hop and Jazz dance for many years, but spends most of her free time these days playing competitive soccer, which she has done since the age of 5. Jade has been involved with Thriller for 8 years now, and played “Michael Jackson” in many of the productions. Jade is full of life. She enjoys people and brings an open mind and enthusiasm to whatever she does.

Tim website Tim Welch – Instructor

Long before the Walking Dead was even a concept, Tim Welch spent an inordinate amount of time during the early 1980s in front of his MTV attempting unsuccessfully to emulate the moves of Michael Jackson and his zombie troop while watching Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

In October 2011, Tim finally fulfilled his lifelong wish to learn the dance when he enthusiastically joined on with Thrill the World Boise. He fondly remembers those first performances on the Grove, in front of Boise City Hall and at the Old Idaho Penitentiary, which all fell joyously on a weekend between jobs.

In 2014, Tim volunteered to instruct, and he has really enjoyed passing on his knowledge of the dance to prospective zombies. Aside from his full-time job at Boise State University, which makes more of a zombie out if him than instructing Thriller ever could, Tim is also deep water fitness class instructor at the downtown YMCA.
